How some of these lads remain motivated, fit and ready to play beats me and that’s another problem within the many now within the game.

We can't be thinking Barrow is a place where we can afford to rest players. I agree with giving Sion Jones game time though, he has been excellent when chosen.

I think his last couple of games he played his performance points were lower than other players and unfortunatley for him the players in his spot have been performing well since then so its probably been difficult for Marshall to give him game time. If he keeps working hard though and does not take his bat and ball home then he will have a big future for us and possibly SL. It didn't harm Butler been in and out and his hard work is paying off now.

Thought Swinton was a golden opportunity missed to have Jones on the bench and give him the second 40 . Wonder if he will try him at prop tomorrow because we look a bit weak there for tomorrow IMO without maher or green who I thought helped us get the upper hand over at mount unpleasant . Wonder if batley no 12 (farrell? Any relation to the ex fax coach? will target Scott again because he got 2 tries by the tactic last time. Heads on tomorrow boys because it's again a game that could bite us. Desperately need that top 4 to continue all the good work this season on and particularly off field. The club has never had trouble attracting local sponsors but has often had trouble keeping them. Its sad sometimes looking around the stands and seeing like 30k in old sponsorship still coming to the games but no longer willing to be involved in that way.

What a great game by the lads today. Every member played their part today still having trouble understanding how the linesman didn’t see the swinging arm on Johno. Well done lads. Let’s do the same to Barrow next week then get the very important win against Fev.

Lots of positives again . AdamT getting his running legs back and the confidence from his superb back pass slip to johonno was the best bit of skill of the day. Excellent performance by Woody my mom. Chester butler....well if SL agents haven't spotted him yet they need to get another job. That was a very good performance in the heat . I thought we looked lightweight in the prop department so the performance for me far outweighed my expectations . Only probably Elliot Morris who had a bit of an off day but he came back on and tried hard again for the team late on. That was a solid Batley team but we are defo coming together. London away looked bleak a couple of months ago but I think they can worry London big time now.

Some good performances today and some quality tries.
Just need to cut out the unforced errors, too many attacking sets where we just dropped the ball.
I don’t worry about the opposition so much as ourselves and if it will cost us against the better sides that are coming up.

We play like we can with the squad we have and we are grabbing second I tell thee.

We seem to be coming good for the end of the season again. No DR or loan players today, and still put Batley to the sword. When we play our other top 4 contenders, I think having (some of) them in the team will be vital though.

I've commented about singing/chanting before, and thought that it can only have helped the boys on the pitch today, with the singing at the end of the game pretty awesome. I'm sure the players would be talking about it after the game. Just let's cut out the "come in a taxi" and "shall we sing a song for you" digs at the opposition? Batley didn't bring many today, but those that did attend are I'm sure stalwart and passionate supporters of their club.

Excellent performance by the lads today, but sad to see the demise of Batley both on and off the pitch. They never stopped trying which shows how bereft they are re quality because of the score line, but alarming to see virtually no away fans today, they used to bring a couple of hundred who made lots of noise, however today ……………………….. nothing.

I think Batley is a classic eg of just how important a coach can be. Kear did an excellent job and they punched well above thier weight. The present incumbent will be having a hard job living up to the Kear effect. You just never got the feel yesterday that they had a game plan particularly close to our line . A full strength team and I think they may spark into life . Something must have been up with manning yesterday because he only played for 30 mins and we all know on song you could leave him out there until the sun set. Smeatons defence on his outside let him down again yesterday . Will he ever learn to edge outwards and not cut in like he kept doing when he played for us. Thought a good coach could really make something out of Farrell.( junior) Who has speed and power but direction and passing ability is wayward. He could be very effective in an outside channel. Not suggesting we get him though. We have enough cover there.
