Tonights M.O.M Against the Cougars.

1-Maloney-His go forward is what we have been lacking and fully deserved his MOM.

2-Beswick-His defence is top class,a lot of his work goes unoticed,attitude is spot on.

3-Haley - I thought he tackled really well and his positional play was good tonight.

PS,May i say that our left hand side needs to tighten up in defence,both Bowman and Goddard missed tackles and they defended poor.Dominic Maloney was outstanding going forward and i believe Ben Black had his best game of the season instead of trying to play as an individual he played tonight as a team member.

Nash had a great game when he came on and should surely replace Goddard for the Swinton game. Ostick and Watene had good games too. Said just needs to calm down sometimes before and after taking the ball up.

He always tries to get a quick play with defenders hanging off him but I've noticed more often than not a penatly usually goes against us for incorrect play the ball rather than defenders being penelised for not getting out of the way.

Seeing as though you picked a second rower in your top 3, I am guessing you seem to think at least one played ok.

guess you watched on tv. so should have seen maloney make yards and plenty of tackles.

1. Maloney, usual physical presence - hard straight running and hard hitting defence

3. Black, glimpses of a return to form

Was very nervous about the game last night, but a win is a win.

A bulls fan friend of mine commented about us not using our pace and skill

2 = Maloney - great hit-ups, good defence.
1 = Black - a massive improvement from previous games.

Honourable mentions go to Frank, Nash, Bannister & not forgetting Shad.

I can't see any other votes for Penky, but I thought he was getting closer to where he should be in this game. The body language wasn't great at times (he doesn't seem to be "enjoying" playing the game as much as he needs to), and still a couple of dropped balls (one a lucky penalty) and bullet flat passes, but the runs from dummy half were much more like his old self (and made plenty of good yards as a result).

I'll go for the same - Penky, Dom and Black, in that order.

I don't know why you bother posting on this messageboard, are you serious about questioning Maloney's performance in this match ?

13 out of the 17 getting some sort of vote. Shows that the lads are putting the effort in across the board and that the speccies are seeing that effort as well.
