I just wanted to come on here and give him some credit for the past 2 weeks. A lot of people are quick to come on here and say he's not upto it when we were playing badly and losing, I wondered if he was the right man and I bet most of us wondered if he was the right man for the job but he guided us to a win a Leigh and then again yesterday.

Yesterday looked like some of the early season flair was coming back which was good to see.

Thanks Matt, the players and all the staff for a brilliant season which hopefully still has 2 more wins in it.

My faith in Matt has never faltered. If we'd spread the losses across the whole of the season instead of having them all in one clump, then finished 2nd, he'd have been a hero for getting us to our highest position since SL.

Keep it up Matt.

its been a good turn around in the last 2 weeks we needed to win games any way we could and get out of the run.

now we are going to Barrow on the back of 2 wins from 2

and Barrow are going into the match on the back of 2 defeats in 2

well done Matt Calland and all of his support staff for turning it around and to the team for the performances we are now in a great position to do well in the play offs.

lets hopw we can get through to the final up at Barrow so we dont have to face Widnes in a crunch make or break play off tie.

We've had too many unnecessary losses for that to be correct but he is still learning his trade and deserves credit for what he has achieved. It will be a "brilliant" season only if we win the comp.

Do you mean like plan the Losses differently Like, have one here and one there.

Whilst Harrison was at Salford he said he didn't believe in P&R and wanted SL to be a closed shop in order for the International team and British youth to 'flourish'.

I don't want someone like that coaching our club, Matt Calland, Martin Hall, Damian Ball and Martin Gonzalez have my full 100% backing.

I agree with the licence system, just not the teams that were granted one!

Where on the outside looking in, alot of our views would be different if we were on the inside looking out!

If we don't win the Grand Final I feel Calland should walk away.

I don't agree with it at all, the whole thesis of sport is that all teams should have the chance to progress to the highest level. If a team wins a division they are crowned champions and move up, like they do in almost every sport with numerous divisions.

The advent of the license system has ruined that idea and the way the RFL conducted it just proved what a stupid process it all was.

Matt Calland has done a great job. I remember folk getting on John Pendlebury's back in '97 when .... after having a trully horrendous World Club tour down under .... we lost 14-12 at home to Paris at Thrummers, you could hear a pin drop and there were some nastiness directed at Pendlebury. 12 months later he was God.

Matt's guided this club to 2nd and we've seen some fantastic stuff, including that epic at Cas. I know folk have the right to their own opinions ... of course they have ... but anybody who thinks Matt is anything but a very good coach has the brains of a rocking horse!

The drop in form could prove to be an important experience for Calland to gain in his early days of being a coach. Remember though, everyone makes mistakes, that's why they put rubbers on the end of pencils.

Licence system?
The death of RL as we knew it. It means a chosen few decide on the fate of the future of all the clubs involved (a lot) rather than natural progression by the rise and fall based on performance on the field.
