| Biggest game of the season and just like Keighley this team cannot be underestimated, it’s impossible to know which fax side will show up but we have a history of taking supposed lesser sides for granted. More than likely grixs’ last game at the shay and would be nice to send him off for a win , also I would imagine a few players potential last home game too. The new electronic scoreboard should be up n running let’s hope the final score is in our favour.

| Grix was obviously far from happy with performance of some individuals at Keighley, I'll be surprised though if he makes many changes, partly because he hasn't a huge number of options - Maizen and Pickersgill in the backs and Fleming in the forwards, unless Calcott is fit again. Don't consider Maher to be a viable option. As mentioned above likely to be the last home game for a number of players, we rarely seem willing to announce these in advance of the last home game, preventing them getting a proper send off which I think is a bit disappointing . I've a horrible feeling it's going to be another nail biter- if they want to sell many early bird season tickets I hope they've been primed about how important thus one is!

| Another game where when Fax are involved could be on a knife edge.
On the one hand it could be worse for Fax having to face Swinton at home needing a point but with our erratic performances it could be worse for Swinton having to face Fax away needing the 2 points.

| I haven't got a clue what will pan out in this game which you could say is exciting or frustrating depending on your point of view. If pushed i would say a Fax win by 20 which was also my prediction for the Keighley match. Lol!

| Well its forecast to be about 15 degrees cooler and much wetter than when we played them at theirs. Here's hoping for a performance akin to the 2nd half of that game to make it easier on the nerves

| Fax by 7 in another lacklustre unispiring performance. Whats the news on Calcott, is his season done? Didn't watch the interviews after the Toulouse game so not sure what got said regarding it? Huge loss for us if so as he has been our best prop by some distance the season.

| Swinton have been somewhat of a bogey team for us, but looking at their squad there don't have any standout players who will give us a problem but have some solid forwards in particular, I notice Fax former player Gavin Bennion is there whom I always thought was useful.
We "should" be really up for this in which case we'll win by 4 or 5 scores. If Whitehaven get trounced by Toulouse the day before, then Swinton might come with a more relaxed damage limitation attitude.
Fax 36 Swinton 12

Will Calcott can be seen in the opening sequence to the chrisfaxforever video on YouTube and appears physically fine with no visible strapping, also looks well in the playoff promo on fb , doesn’t guarantee anything but I’m hopeful he’s fit .

He also looked fine on the pitch before the Keighley game just helping the other lads out in the warm up with no strapping of any kind, we missed him as he's just got better as the seasons gone on and reminds me of a young Chris Hill in style and ability.

| I suppose i could go round the houses with the permintasions of this match for both sides but for me if we can not win this match then we do not deserve to be in the playoffs.

Calcott looked ok.Fairbank looked to have sprung a shoulder rather than concussion after that illegal tackle.

Looks like we are going to be as strong as we can hope for. A lot of people tipping Haven to beat Toulouse but can't really see it with Toulouse having so many injuries they really don't have the luxury of resting any players in what is a nothing game for them. One of those games where we could see strange things like Swinton taking 2 when they are 10 behind which would bring back some awful memories of the bonus point system.

| I’m nervous about this game but like has been said if we can’t get the job done then we don’t deserve to go any further.
Although I don’t think it will happen another potential shock result would be Newcastle getting something at Batley.
Thunder had a good win against Barrow and Batley have a short turn around from the York game that must have taken it’s toll both physically and mentally and depleted squad to call on.

That tackle on Fairbank was a bad one and should of at least seen the Keighley player spend 10 minutes on the sidelines. And he got dropped on his head again in the second half after passing the ball i saw it behind the posts and i couldn't believe that not one of the officials picked it up. I also thought Jacob failed his second HIA on sunday but could be wrong if he as he will be not playing on sunday.

Exactly and what made the officials look even more incompetent was after the ref had stopped the game he went to the touch judge who had a clear view of it and they both decided on just a penalty.
I had a flash back to the RFL disciplinary panel video that I watched covering the Titus Gwaze HM incident at Barrow.
On the panel they had their top lawyer telling everybody how good he was and all the high profile cases he had covered in civilian life trying to justify why Titus had got 8 games for pulling some ones shirt and why Greg got 3 for knocking him down.
Whilst at the same time the RFL stooge was saying that player safety was the main aim of the match officials when it had been the touch judge who was only a couple of meters away from the multiple head shots Greg had taken that led up to the incident and done nothing about until it kicked off and he ran on waving his flag that was partly to blame for not acting quick enough.

| After watching the highlights I’d hope that the Keighley player is cited for that WWE style throw on Fairbank. He had no control over the tackle. The tip tackle wasn’t great either but Inman got away with one too.
As for the Swinton game you’ve all said it already. If we can get up for this game we don’t deserve to be in the play offs
Also someone has said about the leaving players, again I would have liked to of seen this announced. Still remember when the late Ben Heaton left it was never officially announced by the club. Literally takes a tweet or a post on FB.

If it’s a 3 v 6 and 4 v 5 format we need to beat Swinton and Bradford need to win at Sheffield then we’ll be away at the Bulls.
Obviously first priority is getting 2 against Swinton.

| Personally think we have a better chance against Bradford than Sheffield or London and Sheffield is the most unlikely game that we could have maybe taking a Bradford win and a Keighley win? Lets worry about that tonight though and get Swinton out of the way first.

| Should be a decent crowd today ..... last home game of the season in a must win match, and Swinton should bring a couple of hundred.
Of course it's Fax first and foremost, but it would be a shame if we sent Swinton down ..... a good old fashioned RL club who seem to perennially struggle to cling on to survival, and they have decent fans. They have to win or lose by less than 4 to guarantee safety, but could also be saved if Keighley lose by more in London which I think is likely.
