| We seem to have landed a great sponsorship deal with PROBIZ for which we should be grateful to all concerned.
However as I understand it, we have a one year deal with the option for a second. PROBIZ appear to be ploughing cash into Cas, and rightly so as they have the golden ticket, and, fair play to them, seem to be doing enough to keep it.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether PROBIZ's dealings with Cas will affect any investment they have made in fax and whether they'll go for a second year with us?
Anyone have any ideas?

| Don't know if Probiz dealings with Cas will affect us but do know it has caused all sorts of hassle at Cas.They had another shirt sponsor and Puma had made the shirts with the original sponsor on and so a Probiz thing had to be added to the front of the shirts. At shirt launch people were complaining and the next batch of shirts are all made, with the original sponsor on,awaiting some decision about how they get round the changes.Oops!

A bit like the late 80's when Websters Yorkshire Bitter sponsored both Fax and Bradford

| Reading between the lines of the Cas 'stadium' sponsorship (terrible name by the way), Probiz seem to be chucking the majority of their eggs in to Cas' basket with 'Fax as a back up plan if all else fails.

I think you will find that We are receiving more from Probiz than Castleford and I think events over the next few months will prove why.

There's more to come from Probiz, I was getting a bit sceptical as to what they wanted from Fax after the Cas deal was announced, but there's definitely more things coming in the pipeline so its looking good

Really? They beat off Metrel for shirt sponsor, naming rights for current & new ground and owner has said is backing Cas 100% how much are you getting then unfortunately say what we like SL sides can give a lot more to sponsors than any champ side. Fax will be on tv what once a month? Cas will appear in every SL highlights show etc so about 3 times a week! Don't get me wrong their interest won't effect you as your deal will be signed and likely reviewe as was planned anyway, but I'd severely doubt Fax are getting the better deal!

No they didn't. The Metrel deal fell through. The guy who agreed it wasn't in a position to do so, and apparently has since been sacked from Metrel. If anything they have probably got Cas on the cheap, as they would have stuck otherwise.

| I thought I read Metrel agreeing to step aside as Probiz deal was much better and Metrel were staying on as a secondary sponsor? (bit odd as could of dug heels in I guess but fair play. Maybe guy got sacked for agreeing to step aside? Lol).

It's been posted on the Cas forum that Metrel were trying to get out of the deal as the guy who did the deal, wasn't authorised to do so.

Are you selling plenty of Champions merchandise then? Fev were a bit stupid in jumping the gun but at least were quick to jump on the market. Not taking mick but wouldn't trust your lot to get the names right on a birth certificate after last year but as you say Fax should be a good brand in the Championship at the very least and if crowds etc keep improving then the likelihood is so will sponsors and as we all know in this league they are more than worth there weight in Gold

Probiz gave us more for the shirt sponsorship than metrel, and the metrel deal was the biggest shirt sponsorship we had ever had. As to what exactly happened with metrel, there are plenty of theories but no pones sure exactly what happened. Since than probiz have also agreed to sponsor the ground, with another wedge of cash (and we had no sponsorship for naming rights last year) all in all it looks like a pretty good deal for cas, thanks to our commercial gut craig poskitt who has increased sponsorship massivley since joining the club.
Hopefully the association with probiz will be very beneficial to cas and fax, who are my favourite championship team. Looking forward to coming to the shay this season when we play hudds.

The metrel deal fell through because bliers(?) of matrel was not in a position to do such a deal, nor was the company.
As a business owner and employer myself I cannot understand why the club did not check out both the individual and the company before agreeing the deal. my understanding is also that the club has had little or no money from this deal and has placed the shirts into production with the matrel logo on !!

As i said there are plenty of people claiming to know, but no one has any evidence to back it up, and in cas anything to do with the club spawns a hundred stories all from people claiming to know exactly what happened. As sure you well know alot of things posted on forums turn out to be utter rubbish. One thing i do know is that the probiz deal is bigger than the metrel one. I should also mention that one of the posters you have qouted, tttiger has slagged of the club or complained with every post they have made and appears to me be an alias of someone from cas forum (who inturn has differant aliases on casforum) who has a grudge against the club and appears to be trying to destabilise it.
