Isn't 30th June the date at which out of contract players can be approached for next season?

He's been vocal about the coach and his training methods in public so no surprise really.
As for the thread been removed, why? It's in the papers and this is a fans forum not a propaganda machine for the club.

Well to be honest I will not be loseing too much sleep if this is true,I would n`t presume to know how much he is on but to my mind I don`t think he has been value for money whatever he is geting paid.He came from a Super League club but you wouldn`t have thought so to watch him play.There is a budget tomorrow that is expected to make everyone in the country spend less which could affect our club a few months down the line I think the board do right to start looking at "best value"areas within the club and one of them should be players who are not coming up to expectation .The players may be sportsmen but first and foremost they are in the entertainment business and you need to entertain both on and off the field in this day and age to get the crowd built up.
I was listening to Karl Harrison after the match last week and he was saying he does not rely on Aussies and all but 1 of the team that played live within 5 mile of the ground the majority being young kids. What a testiment to him and the club I know they struggle for crowds too but they have reached a final with young ,local kids.Halifax is a hot bed of rugby why are we fetching in players from all over I could name one or two more that could do with going with him.

Theres probably half a dozen of them that will be looking for swan songs at lesser clubs next year so i dont have a problem with this story. It makes sense that several of them should look to maybe play another year somewhere else but will be too old to have future with us.

Nothing in the courier but it would not surprise me if its true with all the money we have lost this season.

Although might not be far wrong they will be the larger earners in the team and frankly we have not seen much return.

Well it says Stanley got the phone call asking him to look for another club whilst he was at Scarboro Golf club on saturday and he could be the first of a few due to poor cup runs and 50K fine for Ostick?

I would hope that the club dont budget on cup runs when deciding the budget for players. Also i havent seen anything about any fine Fax have to pay for the Ostick mess up. Would be suprised if its that much to be honest. As for the paper reporting this, i wouldnt be suprised if he had read the posts on here before they got deleted - has he ever got anything right?

Feel Gene and especially Aizue have been a waste and offered us very little. I personally would not be too sad to see one or both go. I would rather see young Bowman play than Gene, as feel we should be using local players more. I think Larder will also be gone next year and big Franks contract finishes this year and again nice bloke but do not think he is what we want. Sign a SL youngster who is unwanted but that has fire and ambition a bit like Maloney who is for me the best prop for Fax.

Frank has been outstanding this year.

I would take anything in that colum with a very large pinch of salt as it is a mixture of rumour and guessing. Plus he allways tries to portray Fax in a negative light IMHO

To be honest your probably right about the NP column not always being factual others are also right about certain players being "nice enough blokes" but to be fair I cannot see what any of that has to do with takeing a look at the club overall and deciding on what to do to get best value for money right across the board. Anyone doing the household budget will be looking at what they can do without if the worst comes to the worst so I think it`s more than sensible if the club is offering "an out"to players they can do without paying that have not set the field alight.(If that is what`s hapening)

He used to be a jobsworth with headphones and clipboard at televised cup gamesas I recall and he used to publish the same NP colum in the Rugby Leaguer and in the Sunday Yorkshire Sport (now defunct I think)
