Ratu is a good signing IMO. And pleased to hear about young Fieldhouse, heard some good stuff about him, but not seen him play.

Ryan Fieldhouse is a top quality fullback. Will be interesting to see if he can step up to this level.

Can't remember Mike Ratu when he was here before, possibly arrived during my disenchanted days.
However if Mr Fieldmouse is half the player his dad was then we've a chance of winning the league, GF and Challenge Cup this time.

You would have thought Nash would have been back in pre season training by now as the NRC starts on the 5th of Feb, three weeks to go

I think from Branno's wall he is still in Oz. I guess we are just gonna have to wait now. At least someone from the club has come forward and told us they are still in negotiations with some players.

Ratu previous Leeds & Hull KR I presume? Not seen a lot of him but read good things. Probably similar to Ste Tyrer could be a good SL player but needs regular game time at a young age to develop fully

Lost Royston, Brannighan, Gene (highest paid player) and possibly more.

Ratu is a bit different to Tyrer, he can tackle

Beswick, Maloney, Nash, Holroyd all of which are uncertain and would have commanded decent salaries too

Fieldhouse is a very good player, I think he would be a great signing for us, I've seen him play several times. Leigh East also have the best amateur player around in loose forward Gary Middlehurst, Conference player of the year last year, scores tries for fun, I'd like to see him have a chance at the shay.

It wouldnt mean the end for him.

although i probably wouldnt mind if it was, he's a good centre at this level.

it might just be me but whenever i saw him with the ball, i always expected something to go wrong, he was very unpredictable, and holding the ball in one hand like a tennis ball made me nervous too.

Ratu good signing from what i saw in his loan spell. i'm sure he will go well.

Happy with Ratu returning, good solid player. Don't know anything about this Fieldhouse but by everyones response he seems ok enough, see how he goes.

And concerning Nash didn't someone mention Nash commenting on Ben Blacks Facebook basically saying that he'd be back for the NRC? Or am I just making that up...

The answer to your question should be 5, given by the amount of people on this board who know someone, who knows someone, who knows a realiable source who said "blah blah blah", only to be rubbished at a later stage.

The fact of the matter is that Mike has come on the board and stated that negotiations are continuing and when it is right for us to know they will let us know.

I personally would like Nash to return, but then again I would have liked Brannighan, Holroyd, Shad and Gleeson to be playing for us this coming season, but if he doesnt come back, we'll get over it.

There has been rumours circulating that Holly is not wanting to give up as yet, You just never know. Cant see it myself with Jones on board but i would happily welcome him back. It wont be long now before we know the full nal of the squad. I still see us being a top 3 side this year and hopefully 3rd year on trot in the final, Lets hope we can have a successful run in both cups this year and get the club where they need to be financially as well.

Fieldhouse is not just a full back he is a good utility player who has played in various postions, he captained the GB Barla team as well.
