Never mind 'we're just happy to be here' and 'no fear' this is a massive must win game for the club. We'll go into this as favourites I would have thought, the lads seem full of spirit and confidence so it'll be interesting to see how we go on.

Hopefully Mr Charm personified will release his list of departing part-timers prior to the match.

Fax by 10-16 for me. Eagles defence Looks weak and has already shipped in 90 Points which is nearly double what we have. Would be disappointed if we lost as this is a game we should win really.

I'm sure you can beat the Seagulls on Sunday, I'm going for a score of Seagulls 16v Fax 28.

Form suggests we probably should win by about 20 points. Sheffield a very good attacking team but poor defensively. If our defence performs as normal it could be a comfortable win.

Strangely, at one point in the season, we were neither scoring many nor conceding many.

Disappointing and frustrating to lose but doesnt help when one of your halfback gets injured alongside a couple of others. Should we have won? Probably but congrats to the Eagles who never gave in. Typical its Rob that gets 3 tries. However we have 4 more games and already the team and club have done us proud on and off the field. Hopefully some lessons can be learned so that next year we are in a better position. Just need to rebuild and get sorted because Salford will be really up for it after getting spanked today.

The lads gave it their all and they must be gutted.

It will be a good test of character and I'm sure the towel won't be thrown in just yet.

Disappointed with how it slipped away from such a decent postion. Just sensed early in 2nd that it was going to go wrong Sheff were much better and we had it coming really. Poor late play not to set up for drop and then Moore lose the ball like that! Just hope theres a twist in the rest of the games in we pick up a shock win we've still come on leaps and bounds this season

Is this the third year on the trot that Sheffield have spoked our wheels during playoff/end of season rugby? I have to say too - what would that stand have looked like today had every Fax fan stayed at home? Gotta feel sorry for the Sheffield directors because they produce a top side every year but no one watches. Or don't they give a hoot as it's the council's money? How you can go full time with sub-thousand attendances is beyond comprehension. What's the point? What's the end ambition if no one is there to watch it all?

They must know the ins and outs of how to claim development grants, with help and guidance from the RFL who in turn "talk up" their potential, and in turn, receive more grant money.

I remember the Leigh, Sheffield Northern Rail final at the Shay.
The North Stand was virtually empty.

Even more ridiculous, they manage to hire 40,000 capacity stadiums for some of their games.

My least favourite team in the comp as well as London who will probably stay full time and announce a cluster of big name signings on crowds of 250 for next year.

We don't get any development money from the RFL, we just have Directors who know how to sensibly run a rugby club.

I thought it was a great game - a neutral couldn't have asked for more entertainment.

I think you will find that some of the development money you don't get wasn't spent on development.

The 40,000 capacity stadiums are the only stadiums in Sheffield that currently meet the RFL requirements.

Until our own ground is finally built, where else do you suggest?

Jonny, I wasnt far out , but I was with the result, I expected us to win ,Sheffield surprised me I knew they wouldn't roll over,we must win a couple to increase our money for next season.

Well however Eagles do it, they do it year in year out, recent back to back champions and are usually in the mix when push comes to shove.

I wonder how we or some other clubs near the top would go on with their crowds.

I can't recall them as a club ever being involved in any controversy regarding anything dodgy.

Someone must be doing something right and / or financing them without the banner headlines others employ, just quietly going about their business and producing the goods.

I will buck the trend and offer a respectful nod in their direction.

Only a tiny one though that even the most hyper watchful auctioneer might miss.
