I think that say's more about what they were paid this season than anything else!

i think the reality is that clubs cannot pay players beyond their means any more! if so u go bust! its a concept that clubs often fall foul off in all sports. the current fincial climate has brought this to the fore front.

The trouble is some clubs have muti millon pound backers who pay more wages to get the top players, hence it pushes up wages at other clubs. He who has the mmost cash wins, just look at wigan in the 80's paid players the most money, hence attracted all the best players, did not make those players any better, they just got paid more!

look at Man u, Chelski in the prem league, pay silly wages, so why would a top player move to balckpool on 10k a week when an average player at Man u gets 60k a week!

Rooney on 250k a week, still the same player he was on 125k a week (not scoreing goals!)

i dont blame the players, everbody gets as much as they can for doing their job, i blame the greedy multi million aires, who are slowly crippeling sport, with the greed!

Lets face it, if somebody doubled my wages, it would not make me any better at my job! would it! No beacuse i do it to the best of my ability already!

Glad to see Penky staying as in the latter part of last season he seemed to concentrate more and cut out throwing those silly passes out.
He is a game breaker and he is a player that puts us in the top 3 every year.
