Another total waste of taxpayers money whilst people in this country still suffer from that woman's and her cronies lack of basic humanity.
Who paid, not the private sector, no just the general public but someone must have made a few bob out of the total waste of time, money and effort.

I'd like to know how someone can have a 'relevant' death.
The name of the chancellor is George.

Ah my bad. I didn't realise it is customary in this country to call people by their middle names.
Anyway lets get back on track. This thread is about Wedgwood Benn.

You've had it explained to you previously, and got yourself worked up into a froth of indignation about rumours as to why Gideon didn't want to be known by that name.
Perhaps you'd better make an appointment with the doctor and have them check for early-onset dementia.

By your warped logic everyone who retires and dies must be irrelevant. '" Well people asked Tony Benn for his opinion after he had retired, he was looked on as an elder statesman, still giving speeches last year. People still wanted his opinion, to hear his say. The Wicked Witch became a punchline, nobody cared what she had to say as she slowly withered away. She was irrelevant, a large proportion of people thought she was already dead.

So, I suppose you call Anthony Neil Wedgwood Benn by his birth name, despite the same self chappie announcing in 1973 that he wished to known henceforth as plain old Tony Benn?
Which, to be fair, does sound a bit more Working Class, eh? There's definitly more of a hint to Council estates and your local Comprehensive, than Wedgie's traditional silver spooned route of Westminster and Oxford. I wonder why he did that?.....
And Margeret Thatcher is irrelevant? Well, given the amount of column inches, you and sundry others spend mentioning her name, you have as little knowledge to the meaning of the word, as you have to life in general.
As always, Google is your friend.

Since Tony is a standard abbreviation of Anthony, it remains accurate. And it was his first name by birth. So it would be in keeping with calling the Chancellor by his first name, as given at birth.

| I actually prefer the name Gideon. It's much more exclusive than plain old George, and certainly not as common as Anthony (in any of its abbreviations)
Still, I suppose as a Politician you have to appeal to the masses.
