| Quote ="Cronus"icon_lol.gif You are, of course, having a giggle.
Aren't you?
The only "solution" most of those on the opposite benches want is to revoke Article 50, or at best, a second referendum, and to remove the government. Almost without exception, they've lied and lied that they will "honour and respect" the result of the referendum.
At the same time they inflict defeat after defeat in the Commons to damage the government. Can't blame them for that, but there are bigger things at play - such as honouring the referendum, which they all promised to respect. There's a word for behaviour like that.
Labour have simply monitored the polls and public opinion and changed their policy with 2 goals: 1 - damage the government, and 2 - get a shot at No.10 (until the last few weeks, of course).'"
Of course, I was having a giggle but, Corbyn is similar to Johnson, in that he just wants a go in the "big char" at No 10 Downing Street and is "happy" to do whatever he thinks necessary to get there.
Therefore, much of what is going on with Labour, is to oust Johnson, rather than deal with Brexit - similar to Johnson and his cronies ousting Mrs May - ironic that Johnson gets so upset by it all
FWIW, I still dont believe that Crobyn is a fan of the EU and he never has been and IF Labour were to gain power, which would only be for a short while anyway, Labour too would be a shambles of a ruling party.

I think that I may have accidentally unmasked Sal, my very own Tory MP, Andrea Jenkyns:

It may be coincidence but, she couldn't name the raft on nations that currently trade with the EU on WTO terms, either/
It's just more Tory lies, something that seems to be reaching epidemic proportions.
They are taking the nation for mugs, while lining their own pockets, quelle surprise !

Unlike some, I genuinely have better things to do with my life & don't actually like this sort of thing. This, & the right wing sponsored HYS on the BBC news site, is enough to destroy any faith I have in the English.

You lefties are pathetic just pumping out Jeremy’s Marxist clap trap - there is a reason why Socialism doesn’t work and the likes of you are why - you want a better spread of wealth as long as it doesn’t impact your gob in the trough.
It would be very interesting to see how many of the lefties on here who work in businesses solely reliant on the government for their firms’ revenue?

Not me, I've been working in the brutal world of the free market since I started. But then again I'm not a "leftie" so I can't be someone you're referring to.

The NHS
The armed forces
The minimum wage
State schools
Tax relief for oil and gas companies
Unless you are against them all, you are in favour of state intervention into the free market. You rotten lefty socialist.
So we live in a mixed economy; the incremental level of mix is what is under discussion, not whether we should live in a pure free market or a pure "Marxist" one. And, again, the public is significantly more left wing on these sorts of issues than you seem to think, and certainly more left wing than I am.

Mine doesn't (apart from having to abide by their taxation rules and criteria)
Equally, we could ask whether any of the Tories posting on here are using Tax avoidance schemes or "hiding" some of their wealth off shore, assuming that any of them are old enough to be employed yet.

Deary me. From what I can deduce there is only one regular Labour voter on here & he hasn't been on for a while. But when you read newspapers who supported the Nazis in the 30s & regurgitate their depraved views it's not a surprise. Your lack of awareness & childish cliches are embarrassing. The common link between the most content & happiest countries in the world is that they have strong social democracies. Strange that.

Why? Are you going to give advice on tax avoidance, employing your wife up to tax threshold even though they don't work there, company car, fiddling pensions, expense accounts, private health, gym membership, screwing your employees?

My tax affairs are so simple that is difficult to fiddle not that I would want to. I claim what are legitimate business expenses - I pay my taxes on time, I pay my VAT on time. I make a good living and as such feel I make a reasonable contribution in the form of various taxes to support those less fortunate than myself. By the way my wife doesn't work for me, my car is my own - I claim mileage, I don't go to a gym and my employees are very contented with their terms and conditions. If you would like some testimonials no problem.
Now over to you - I take it you work either for the government or for an organisation that is completely funded by the government? Which is probably why you are so touchy?

| This debate is simply going round in circles I will ask you remainers this question:
"Do you want to be part of a transnational super state which you don't understand run by people you don't know who you didn't elect and who you cannot get rid of but who have the power to impose on you laws on you that you haven't discussed/agreed and have little or no power to block or overturn - do you really think that's a great idea"
Nobody on here and in wider general public knows who their MEP is - why because they are simply attending a very expensive talking shop - they have no power that's in the hands of the Council - Tusk's mob and the Commission - Junker's mob.
What is very interesting is the rise of the Nu Class the intelligentsia - these are those wedded to government funding/control/regulation in one form or another. More regulation more non-jobs for them. These are people who took non subjects at university e.g. Classics, French Literature, Archaeology - their whole existence relies on more government intervention. We can see these very people posting on here. I guarantee a big chunk of the remainers will be climate change enthusiasts - people with real jobs haven't got time for this clap trap.

Wrong on both counts. The fiddles that I listed are those I have experienced or am aware of, either as an employee or as my Dad had his own business. I also work with numerous consultants who enjoy those trappings or run their own companies.
I get a fixed salary & pension. No bonus or any other perk apart from statutory sick pay or holidays, ever. I am at work about 45-50 hours a week; when I am not at work I am contactable at all times. I have had 2 weeks off work sick in 20 years; that was following an operation; I worked from home every day of that 2 weeks apart from the the day of the operation.
