By far the weakest of the lot, not helped by having a pretty generally dreadful leading actor that had so many character traits to take the out of right from day 1.
Not seen the most recent series of LV or NY , but they seemed to be drifting into self parody aswell and can't be all that far behind going the same way.

| I've been without a telly since mine was collected yesterday lunchtime for a panel replacement. It's been a bit of a change going from watching a 50" HD plasma to an 8" portable DVD player but at least I've been able to catch up with some discs I'd burned. We also had some power cuts yesterday evening but thankfully it looks like Sky+ still managed to record the latest Game of Thrones and the final episode of the 70s. 4OD and iPlayer have also been getting a hammering

| The 70's show was good for the music and memories, but less good for the presenter, who made some ridiculous statements.

He did rather seem to have an agenda. I reckon he's angling for another commission: 1980s - The Thatcher Years

I wouldn't worry too much about that, most of the ones you don't need to remember will be sliced and diced before too long

| Highway to Hell starts on sunday night on TCM.
Good cast and all set around the building of the first railway across America in the 1860s. A bit like Deadwood but with less swearing i think
Potentially looks a very good series.
Hit and Miss on Tuesday might be good with a Transvestite Hit man / Woman. Has potential.
Did anyone watch DIY SOS last night. A real tearjerker doing a house up for a guy who is terminally il with MND so he could spend more time with his family.
It is weird really because it is the only programme i can watch Nick Knowles in

| Game of Thrones is one of the best programmes to appear for years. I still enjoy watching the first season back again and the second season hasn't disappointed.
I'll be giving Highway to Hell and Hit & Miss a looksie too.

Nope but I'd bet she was looking feeit? The excellent '24 Hours in A&E' was back last night. The kid who got a slow bleed on the brain after a bike accident made for great tv. It has a unique format at times by discussing with friends and relatives of patients who've had life threatening surgery and not knowing until late on in each episode whether they made it or not.

I did think it was going along an obvious route - two cyclists with head injuries both sustained going downhill at between 25 and 30mph (thats fast on a bike, believe me you don't want to fall off at those speeds, it makes a big mess), one is sat up in bed talking to anyone and everyone who passes by, the other is in a coma, one was wearing a helmet one wasn't, guess which one?
It even got my wife interested and she got really annoyed with me when I mentioned that there is a campaign among some cyclists to NOT make the wearing of helmets compulsory as they argue that it makes cyclists LESS safe - no I'm not quite sure how either but the argument goes something along the lines of "false sense of security", of which there is little.
But the other medical documentary about Great Ormond Street is just riveting viewing, the Irish surgeon was just incredible and the surgery they are performing on a daily basis is stunning, how the hell they go home and relax I just don't know.

I can imagine our own Gulfcoast Highwayman searching frantically for a replay of this programme....Admittedly, she is tremendous.

Dont know if anyone saw this on BBC 4 but it is worth it on Iplayer

All about the campaigns for safety in formula one. Some shocking footage of the deaths of racing drivers and how dangerous it was.
I dont really like motor sport but found it riveting.

Been there, done that.
BTW, I don't normally watch the show. Is it always that bad?

Pass! Never attempted to watch it. Same as that other show with Amstell and the fooking tremendously irritating Phil Jupitus. Not my cup of tea. Shooting Stars and HIGNFY are about as much as I can handle the panel show stakes.

| Just finished [iCommunity[/i. Outstanding final episode that I thought and perfectly pitched to close it off. Not sure what's gone on behind the scenes to warrant Harman's ousting but I'd rather it just finish now after that. Can't be topped.
