I agree, it a good lesson in sound Science vs a little learning is a dangerous thing.
The weirdness of someone who thinks the Earth is flat giving lessons in Science and logic ........ seriously weird!
I personally like different views, but there has to be SOME logic somewhere.

You have put a montage of rocket shots together which show what?
That rockets have a trajectory?
Wow!
Guess what? .... they do!
But it is not a trick.
Whatever path they are on is influenced by a number of things, force of propulsion, stability, gravity and moreover from the observer's point of view we have the Earth's rotation which introduces an APPARENT arc to MOST launches.
That my friend is physics.
It wasn't you of course who put together this nonsense which implies that all rockets are fireworks and as random as you are.
But you buy into this shoite.
In that clip we have, space rockets, missiles, failed launches and basically anyyhing that can go bang.
All in an effort to show space launches don't go straight up but curve to the flat and return to Earth in some uncontrolled fashion.
A lot of the launches in that clip aren't vertical anyway.
Stop calling space rockets fireworks, they aren't, they are controlled.  |

By coincidence, I was watching a Discovery prog the other night, "Apollo 17: The Untold Story of the Last Men on the Moon" and one of the tasks for the astronauts on that mission was to travel to and examine "moving boulders" which they did. I then went on the official NASA image repository where you can access every image taken and there are some fascinating shots.
For example, here is a comment re "the split boulder" as it came to be referred to:

As the crew slept, NASA devised a temporary replacement mudguard, and in the morning the astronauts fitted this, using a map, two clamps and duct tape, and it worked so they could continue their driving.
Also it turns out that, 43 years before the recent detection, Apollo 17 had taken with them a gravitational wave detector. Sadly after much effort, it didn't in the event work, but that was the plan.
Broken mudguard repair - non-working gravitational wave detector - simple facts? Or super-devious invented sub-plot cameos to embellish a hoax? Either way, I should think all sides of the thread would find the programme highly fascinating and I recommend it. |
