Well, had a look at the new Windows 7 mobile the HTC HD7. I'm not sure what to make of it. Comparing it to Android on something like the Samsung Galaxy S, I think I preferred the new Win 7 system, but why do they need a Mozart and Trophy version. Why can't you do it all from the same phone?

Given the issues we are havnig the HTC I wouldn't touch them with a barge poll myself.

Have to say I've had my Hero for over a year now and I've yet to have any problems with it. Even been dropped from up on high a few times but it's still going strong. No issues whatsoever

If you enable all the timescape and mediascape, which is the whole point of the phone, the battery takes a hammering. If you have a charger at home and work and one in the car you can get round this however.

Decided to stop messing and get the Galaxy S.
Looks like a nice gadget filled phone, but I did like the looks of the Erricson X10 with the face recognition camera.

It's brilliant, just got to get used to it and work out how to get around all the apps.

Does anybody here now how to set the wallpaper correctly on the Samsung Galaxy S?

First off you get the crop box which it is impossible to get all the picture in and it then zooms it in to go across the whole 7 home pages. I've got rid of the 7 home pages so i just have 1. Even then, and the picture isn't huge, it still only allows you to use the orange crop box to get a portion of the picture and still zooms in even though it is only 1 page.

Basically is it possible to just set a whole picture NOT zoomed in on the homepage?
It might sound trivial but it is really annoying me!

Resize your picture to 980 x 800 then reimport it to your phone.

How this will work with just having 1 home page though i dont know, but it should work correctly for 7.

Yeah i've done that but it still doesn't work really. A) You still get the crop box and cannot select the whole image. B) It still zooms in somewhat C) As with 99% of pictures the thing your taking a picture of is in the centre of the image which means that when it is stretched across the 7 home pages that page 3,4 and 5 end up with the centre of the picture and the main home page has the far left of the image which is terrible.

Even when i've got rid of the 7 home screens so I have 1 and resized the image to the correct dimensions (480x800) the same applies. Crop box meaning I cannot select the whole picture despite it being the EXACT size and it zooms in on one section.

The phone is sensational so i find it strange that such a simple task doesn't seem possible.

Five days into a new contract with the nokia N8 and it does exactly what it saya on the tin and some, I havent even used for the reason I upgraded to it ( the 12 mp camera and HD video) I thought my N95 was ample how wrong was I.

Has anyone updated their Android phones to the 2.2 version? I updated my Galaxy S a couple of days ago and my emails seem to have just stopped working. Whenever I go into my inbox it just seems to freeze and on the rare occasion that I do manage to actually open one of the emails it just says 'Loading' and doesn't seem to do much else.

I believe mine was updated on the Desire whilst i slept last night. Presume that has caused the messages to be deleted!

Getting alot of error messages now. Messages doesn't always work and neither do some of the apps?
