| Initially ignored the warnings from Italy by missing COBRA meetings to work on his divorce. He thought herd immunity was the way to go until the deaths started increasing and by sending the old out of hospitals to care homes to free up the beds but without any testing. No preparation with lack of PPE despite a warning that one was due.
I could go on but if he had handled it probably from the start we would not have one of the highest death rates.

How did Boris send old people to hospitals? How was it his fault re PPE?
Stop blaming boris and instead start blaming the people that were responsible for the deaths....the management people of of the NHS

| They did a full scale test for a possible scenario like COVID however this was never published. It was clear that no action was taken because we did not have enough PPE when the pandemic started and a lot was now out of date hence the increased risk to health and care staff.
It was known that to transfer the elderly back to care homes without a test was high risk but they wanted the hospital beds cleared. Let us not forget his alleged “let the bodies pile up” which he never denied which gives an insight into his actual thoughts on the impact.

I know I'm right and it's not often I agree with you either, and in the case of the rubbish your accusing the NHS of I don't agree with that either, the things some people say to attract attention at times defies belief, you must be some desperate dude.

Except it’s not. Johnson had nothing to do with the NHS complete and utter mess up. Care services that I know personally where sourcing their own PPE because the NHS were so inept.
Here are the facts.
We knew a pandemic was coming and the NHS was warned
Those that were tasked with protecting the public (NHS) did nothing.
Pandemic hits
The NHS is suprised they don’t have enough PPE
Remind me again at which point Boris is to blame for the ineptitude of the hundred of procurements manages on hundreds of thousands of pounds Salaries?

I worked for the NHS in January 2020, and yes, we did know there was a virus out there, but quite honestly we didn't know if the virus would be contained like previous sars virus or not, we entered into discussions about the plans we had which were adequate for all but the worst case scenarios (ebola style) and when the impact of the virus started to hit we enacted those plans.
In the main they worked, we extended our A&E into other wards and discharged people into the community who we could, the only issues we encountered that perhaps could have been done better was centred around testing and tracing of people coming into hospital and being discharged to nursing homes, but to be honest, that is more a government issues than an NHS one.
The other issue was one of staff getting ill and technology, it took us a while to get used to working mostly off site, but supporting people on site, but we worked it out.

So why did nursing homes have to source their own PPE when ordinarily it was provided by the NHS (for nursing home which were predominantly used by the local primary care trusts)? I’ve seen emails as part of my work on going concern where the NHS basically said “dunno mate, do it yourself). That’s not Boris fault. It’s purely on the NHS
The NHS was woefully unprepared which is remarkable given the amount of “management” they have on eye watering salaries for this exact situation. The right will claim the NHS is on its knees because of immigrants. No it’s not. It’s all the useless s at the top of the food chain on stupid salaries

When you talk about the NHS I and probably a lot more like me only identify it through the good work the doctors and nurses do at the hospitals, so I don't want to get into the politics of it all, not sure how immigrants tie in with your post but regarding the stupid salaries part, I have a son in law who works for an agency that supplies doctors, consultants, and anaesthetists, to the NHS hospitals, when he rings one of those individuals up they won't come for less than a 12 hour shift which suits him and his company I suppose as that's how and where they earn they're corn, I'm not going to talk about their salaries as the NHS cannot do without these skilled people and if they choose to earn more money working through an agency well good luck to them, but my point is my son in law takes home after stoppages around £120K per annum, so what are his company charging the NHS for this service, as one of the 3 professions I have mentioned would you as an NHS worker be happy to work alongside somebody that's on nearly three times the salary your on, so maybe you have a good point regarding those at the top being more accountable.

I think you are confused, care homes can get PPE through their local authority or local resilience forum. The Department of Health and Social Care will provide free Personal Protective Equipment, NOT the NHS.

| He may be referring to the private care homes that charge an absolute fortune for your elderly relatives. They provide their own PPE.
