Quite like that track actually, probably because it steers away from her usual 'boy would you screw me all night long' type of track. Also, i'm certainly not a Gaga believer, but her live performance of 'The Edge Of Glory' at Radio 1's big weekend was amazing, she is a proper star.

Gaga is one of the biggest wastes of talent since Harrison hung around with Lennon and McCartney.
Her take on "Orange Coloured Sky" and her jazz numbers were superb, and the song about her dad being an alcoholic was a genuinely well written song. In fact, I have said this before now, as an entertainment spectacle, she is superb.
She just seems content to whore her talents to soul-less pop crap she churns out to be played in bars and clubs across the world.
I do hope like Robbie Williams did a big band number, Gaga decides to do a jazz album, because that would be well worth a purchase.

Well worth a listen, their last album was a sort of "Best of so far", but I can't remember what it's called. Loud punk with a ska edge with angry semi-rapped style lyrics, with the occasional more gentle moment.
Like a better Imperial Leisure.
(There you go BG, another one for you to look up!)

| Just seen the video for Rock n Roll Outlaw by The Answer. Used to love the original by Rose Tattoo. Not a bad job done by the boys from County Down either.

| This week has sucked big time. I had to miss Sufjan Stevens on Thursday night due to illness and also missed out on getting Bon Iver tickets as I was stuck at work.

Just an observation. It looks like a festival. I'd wouldn't be surprised by a young crowd for a gig. I know that festival crowds are getting younger, but that crowd looks particularly young.

Probably not haha, The Blackout were headlining the Saturday so all the young un's were at the barrier right from the very beginning, was people of all ages there.
Uploading pictures from 2nd day (Funeral For A Friend, The King Blues, et all) now so will link when done.

| Debating on whether to head out for the Three Trapped Tigers and Tall Ships gig in Leeds tonight. The fact that it is free is really no excuse for me to miss it.

| Saturday afternoon gig this weekend for me. Peel favourites The Nightingales, with Ted Chippington, John Hyatt from The Three Johns and local band Changing Horses. And great beer at The Continental in Preston. '80s here I come.

| Not only got Pressure 28 blasting out, but just heard up and coming Leigh band Jerrimiah Ferrari are sending me their EP too.
JF have been my find of the year so far, with a bit of a push their ska/reggae/funk/rock blend could go somewhere, and they're not full of their own bulls hit either, they just seem to be enjoying themselves out there.
And I suspect there may be more CDs to come too next week, top stuff.
