US Ska legends The Toasters at York Stereo on monday.

Can't wait, I've missed their last couple of tours. I expect to be knackered and deaf on tuesday.....

Been listening to a few of the new Kasabian songs on youtube (Velociraptor, Switchblade Smiles) and I can't wait for their new album at the minute. Same goes with Noel Gallagher, I love "The Death Of You And Me" and can't wait for the album to be honest!

Missed C.W Stoneking in York last night. DAMN!

Saw The Jayhawks at Manchester Academy last night. Very good gig. The line up is the "classic" one from "Tomorrow the Green Grass" era, first time they have toured like this since 1995. New album, Mockingbird Time, out in September - can't wait. They played a few songs from the new album, and they sounded really good.

End of an era tonight. Leeds' finest The Music come to the end of the line with what will be one hell of a show in Leeds. Brixton was brilliant (albeit the crowd was a bit bland) and last night was amazing. I was 15 years old when I heard of Incense, and for 13 years I've grown up on them. It's going to be emotional tonight

Pretty crap news. Apparently Wade is on the verge of joining Gallows and Dallas left in December 2010.

Watch Out and Crisis are still flawless albums. No Transitory was such a massive tune.

Then chillaxing on the way home to some Van Morrison.

I saw them inFrance in 2008. I'd never heard of them before, but from what I remember they were pretty good.

This is their 30th year, so they should be by now.
Christ knows how many albums down the line (I've not got most of them, if I take enough cash tonight though.... Don't think the wife will be too impressed though LOL) they've managed to become arguably the biggest name on the ska scene in every country except the UK, where we sadly hang on to memories of The Specials.
Sad seeing as their lead singer and founder is British :-/

None of them unfortunately, promoter of event, though all the local supports are friends of mine.

Tinitus is lovely...

Great gig last night, Copasetic are a band to keep an eye on, but Skyrocket Jack have probably the best stage show I've seen from a small band.
Lively front man who seemed to think he was a superhero, in and out of the crowd, holding up cards with the sing along bits and then walking around the crowd at the end thanking everyone for coming. Mad as a box of frogs, but entertaining as hell.

The Toasters though... Absolutely brilliant. Nothing else to say.

Sounds like one of my favourite bands, The Aquabats.

Very much so, and about as lively. Get to see them if you liked the Aquabats, think 'cut price version' though... Only the lead singer in a mask, but the rest of the band in bright coloured tops to compliment him.

Any band that can sing about libraries, trains, push bikes, ice cream vans and pirates have to be worth a night out.

Just don't listen to the stuff on their site, they're much better than that.
