Quite a good film surprisingly. Was expecting the usual, over the top, heavy handed American treatment about mass destruction, but turned out to be quite thoughtful on its subject without offering a different theory as to where germ related death comes from. Only real quibbles were, a few of the sub-plots remained unaswered at the end of the film and Jude Law's cheesecutter.

Next week, The Haunting, which looks quite promising from the trailer, but remakes of The Thing and Straw Dogs look avoidable. Through viewing the trailers, both look to be lacking the aptmosphere of the originals.

Thought Fassbenders portrayal of Bobby Sands was depressingly brilliant. He certainly got bodily into character.

Caught Tony Manero on Film4 a while back.
The pitch blackest of comedies. found it fairly transfixing.

Enjoyed Dogville although I nearly gave up on it early doors.

Its my opinion I guess, but Daniel Craig is surely battling with Timothy Dalton as the worst ever Bond?

He is not a bad actor, in fact, he is a very good one, but the Bond films he has been in have NOT been Bond films - They have been very poor rip-offs of the Bourne series.

Yes, some might say that Craig follows the Bond character from the books, but the fact is the FILMS have been based on a character steeped in intelligence, a killer instinct AND humour, something which the Craig version of Bond just doesn't have, and the films suffer massively as a result.

If I wanted a steel-eyed assasin with little personality, I'll stick with Matt Damon and the excellent Bourne films.

When I was a kid my Dad promised to take me to see Jaws if I got my hair cut. What I got was some bloke with metal teeth in Moonraker.

Bond and complete let down have walked hand in hand ever since.

Worst Bond villain ever as well.

....Moonraker was part of the Bond era when Roger Moore was on take-the-p*** cruise control.....Add Octopussy, For Your eyes Only and View To A Kill....All an absolute shambles, which was a shame, because in his first few outings as Bond, Moore did a decent job and the films were also good story-wise.

Never really done it for me either.
I'd be struggling to say I've ever sat through a full movie.

Now Quint, in Jaws, that's more like it.

Just tried watching Due Date on Sky Movies. I couldn't even finish it. Total rubbish.

It is pretty poor.

I've had Green Zone recorded on my Sky+ for an age now. Tonight may be the night it gets watched.. anyone seen it?

I loved it. Paul Greengrass does this sort of film very well, and the excellent Mark Strong isn't the bad guy.

I didn't bother in the end. I will at one point though. I am really rubbish at sitting down to watch a full film. I just seem to lose interest halfway through!

Green Zone kept me interested but in the end i found it an average film and the ending was a little bit crap.
