| Quote ="wrencat1873"How can you possibly say that the party in opposition have failed.
It was not their job to deliver a manifesto, that was the Tory party, voted in by yourself (and others) to deliver Brexit and thus far, they have failed spectacularly and having suffered two of the heaviest defeats in parliamentary history and we now have the MP having to take control because the ruling party is acting like a chocolate fireguard.
Labour, as the party in opposition, have done their job quite well, wouldn't you say ? even with a "geography teacher" at the helm, which given how little you think of Corbyn and Labour, doesnt say too much for the rest
'"
I think Labour in opposition have done a terrible job. They had a manifesto to deliver Brexit but knew all their conditions made it impossible for anyone to deliver. It will come back to hurt them at the next GE. Their leader has not lead to have a policy that anything is possible isn't a policy at all. Nobody actually knows where Labour stand on delivering Brexit other than they don't want to deliver Brexit.

Be patient, a General Election wont be too far away.
Even if May steps down, the Troy majority will still be zilch.
Mind you, if there is a GE, there is every chance that they could regain an overall majority ??
It's not only the Tories that have a poor leader, with the current debacle, Labour should be streets ahead in the opinion polls.

| The polls were miles off in 2017.
I’m sure the Tories won’t run a campaign as bad as it was in 2017 again but if they have Johnson as leader anything is possible with him going off script.

| Nice to see the U.K.I.P. lot enjoying their day in the sun.
Looking forward to Rees-Mogg explaining how one day he said he would follow the D.U.P's lead, followed by doing the exact opposite!

| I thinks anyone with an ounce of common sense sees through the little toad now.
Here’s to a general election and getting as many ERG s out of the Commons as possible.
Their ideology has done enough damage to our country.

Alas I think most of them are safe as their constituents would vote for a dog turd if it had a blue rosette.
I think a GE would just be dominated by Brexit to the detriment of everything else. It's like a fart in a lift. It expands to fill all available space.
What is needed is for Parliament to arrive at a compromise on Monday. If they can't it should be No deal vs Remain in a final referendum.

I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't want the gig but, you should put yourself forward for PM.
At least going with your idea, this would be sorted one way or another, although, because of the time that it would take to organise referendum mark 2, we would have to field candidates in the forthcoming EU elections.
May has to go now, for her own sanity.
She is behaving like a kid who isn't allowed any sweets. Just asking the same question, time after time, after time, after time.
Her own party should be saying ENOUGH.
Everyone seems to acknowledge that she's made a right bollox of the deal, apart from her and just a handful of her cabinet, many of whom are supporting her to try and put themselves in a favourable position for the PM's job,

Perhaps you would like to share with us your reason for unbridled joy. Presumably the lack of so called traffic on here, is due to the fact anybody who post views not of the left wing variety is ridiculed . Quote .sweepstake for aneurysm etc.
Whilst I find it mildly amusing some people obviously do not.

Not personally. Although looking at the vast array of self serving incompetent individuals in parliament, all sides included, I think his veiws may have some substance.

| I think most people would be happy with what we joined in 1973 ,a trading partnership but with a free trade option with non EU countries added. Just get rid of the bits that sucked us into political integration over the last 40 odd years.

| As desperate as she is clueless.
Will be intriguing to see how she tries and gets it past the speaker this time.
Let’s hope there’s a strong victory for either/both of confirmatory referendum and customs union in Monday’s indicative votes.

Unbridled joy! Hardly, I have now taken a nihilistic approach to the whole debacle.
Undoubtedly the left leaning members are in the ascendancy on here, but some of the comments from the other side of the spectrum deserve to be ridiculed.
Anyhow, on we go with the circus, where turns in the road happen almost every day, but somehow always arriving back at the start line.

I think the Russians are putting something in the nations drinking water. Woman on the radio the other day has dug up her flower bed to plant vegetables, some bloke on the same programme selling survival packs. Cheerfully informs the listeners the food has a shelf life of 25 years.

I'm loving the public information "adverts" asking if we are all prepared for Brexit.
It's like someone is taking the mickey.
Companies that have lash out £millions to "prepare" have been spitting in the wind.
Our clueless, self serving MP's are killing the ecconomy as we head for a Brexit recession and that is before we actually leave (assuming that this is actually going to happen).
We're falling off the cliff and we're nowhere near the edge (yet) ![Embarassed icon_surprised.gifops:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_redface.gif)

What an absolute hash we have made of this. Leavers and Remainers, I guess we deserve each other.
