Summary:l
An outbreak of small pox in Dewsbury left the
league in a dilemma over whether they should play games. In Division Two
they had only played five games compared to the 9 to 11 games the rest of
the league had played. It was decided they would "take the risk" in
returning to action. That was Division Two though, Wigan in Division One
continued their recent patchy form with a defeat away at Hull.
