Summary:l
This game had been played on 24th February but
with Wigan having been found guilty of having used an illegible player the
game was ordered to be replayed. Huddersfield could still reach 24 points so
still weren't quite relegated at kick off but by full time they had been
smashed 36-0 to confirm their demise. After a Jack Mason opened the scoring
with a penalty, it was 16-0 at the break with tries added by first Jim
Leytham and then a hat-trick from Jimmy Barr that he completed on the
interval. In the second half Barr scored his fourth, Leytham his second and
Dai Harris claimed to tries to complete a rout. Meanwhile, Bradford beat
Broughton to set up a play off match to decide the title.
