Summary:l
Wigan still had slight relegation fears that
would have been heightened had they lost to Keighley who were in the
relegation zone themselves. Instead they extinguished those fears with a big
win. The opening score came from a Jack Mason penalty goal to which Keighley
equalised soon after for 2-2. Then Jim Leytham scored easily to make it 7-2
after Mason converted. Before half time Eli Davies kicked a drop goal to
make it 9-2. Into the second half and a second try for Leytham made it 12-2
before a try from Jack Brown increased that to 17-2 with Mason converted.
Two further tries from Jim Leytham, one of which was converted by Jack
Hilton, completed the rout.
