Summary:l
Salford were chasing the league title in a
tight race with Bradford, so any dropped points would be costly. This was a
crucial game in hand for them and it was a nervy first half with neither
side scoring. A try from Preston settled them down into a 3-0 lead but they
were sweating again when Jack Mason kicked a penalty goal for 3-2. Lomas
later dropped a goal for Salford however and they hung on for a 5-2 win.
