Summary:l
Saints were bottom of the table in the relegation zone
but took the lead early with a Tom Hall drop goal for 2-0. The sides then
traded leads with E.Dickinson's try making it 3-2 to Wigan before George
Liversage made it 5-3 to Saints before half time. In the second half a try
from Jimmy Barr put Wigan 6-5 ahead and they held the narrowest of leads
until the end.
