Wigan had lost five games in a row prior to this visit of
Rochdale but bucked up their ideas to win big. They took the lead 3-0 after
a Percy Jago try and before half time Peter Walkden kicked a drop goal for
7-0. Peter Foster then made it 10-0 with a try and the score blew out after
that. Billy Halliwell scored a third try of the day before two drop goals
from Teddy Flowers made it 21-0. A second try from Foster wrapped up the
Try - 3 points. Conversion - 2 points. Drop Goal - 4 points. Penalty - 3
points. Goal from Mark - 4 points.
