Summary:l
Manningham were progressing towards winning the first
ever Northern Union League Title and continued their charge with victory at
Wigan. They had to come from behind after Percy Jago kicked a drop goal to
put Wigan 4-0 ahead but they found a try from Tolson to reduce that to 4-3
before half time. Second Half a drop goal from Atkinson put them 7-4 ahead
but ultimately two missed penalty goal shots from E.Webster cost Wigan the
chance to win.
