Summary:l |
Wigan had taken a 7-0 lead in as many minutes with a try
from Ken Bird being added to with one from Jackie Cunliffe. But Saints
clawed back with two penalties from Austin Rhodes before tries by Nat
Silcock and Vince Karalius put them 14-7 up at half time. Wigan rallied
after the break but couldn't find a try and their spirit was broken when
Glyn Moses scored a try. One for Frank Carlton soon followed and John
Dickinson later was awarded a penalty try that completed quite a rout in the
end. |
