Summary:l

Wigan had a 5 point deficit to overcome in this Second Leg of their Lancashire Cup tie with Salford and they quickly levelled the aggregate scores with a try from Nat Silcock being converted by Frank Collier. Salford kicked themselves back into a 14-12 aggregate lead but they soon found themselves under the pump from the 18th Minute onwards. Tries from Jack Broome, Derek Brindle and Ronnie Hurst put Wigan into a 16-2 (Agg: 23-14) half time lead. Ken Gee kicked a penalty goal to create a two converted try lead early in the second half and no further scoring occurred for well over 20 minutes. Salford couldn't mount a fightback though and Wigan scored two tries late on from Broome and Harry Street to wrap up the win.
