Snow had seen this tie postponed on the original Saturday date, the only tie to fall with most of the others being over in Yorkshire. When it was eventually played though the conditions were far better and Wigan massacred Wakefield. No mercy was showed in the second half after they already led 18-2 at the break.

Note:l Match was previously postponed on Saturday 5th March (3:00pm) due to Snow
