Summary:l |
After the previous week's second leg was declared void
after the referee mistakenly did not play extra time, the tie was replayed
in full with the aggregate score reverting to the 12-11 lead Leigh had after
the First Leg at Central Park. The game for a while panned out like the
voided tie with Leigh going ahead 16-13 on aggregate. Ted Ward though scored
a try and this time he converted to put Wigan 18-16 ahead on aggregate.
Ledgard for Leigh had two penalty attempts to level but failed both times
and Brian Nordgren punished that with a try that sent Wigan through at last. |
