Summary:l

The delayed end to this season meant that league fixtures were still ongoing as England were playing France in a test match at Headingley on this particular afternoon. Tommy Bradshaw, Ken Gee and Joe Egan were away playing as England won 7-5. Without them, Wigan still had no problem in seeing off Halifax easily at Central Park. They still couldn't shake Widnes off for first place with them winning 7-0 at home to Rochdale.
