Summary:l |
A tough spell of frost saw this return Challenge Cup
First Round Leg delayed by almost three weeks. Wigan held a healthy thirteen
point lead from the first tie and that proved valuable because this match
went ahead despite conditions still being awful. Snow meant the match wasn't
much of a spectacle but Wigan scored three great ties. Once it became clear
that Featherstone had little chance of overhauling the deficit, the referee
abandoned the match after 71 minutes due to the poor conditions. The result
would stand. |
