Bradford Bulls v Wigan Warriors - Super League XIII Round 12..
Sunday 27th April 2008. Kick Off 3:00pm at Odsal Stadium.

A thread on our message board suggests the next three matches will define our season - I suppose they will but I said that earlier in the season that run in late February and early March in which we played Bradford at home and Hull, Warrington and Saints away was the run I said would define our season.

We failed miserably in that run but yet we are still above them all in the league. What a shame we did fail, we'd be a fantastic position now.

The next three games offer a chance for us to redeem ourselves - but the players have got to have to belief. I really don't think they had the belief they could win at Warrington and in particular at St Helens on Good Friday.

Of course we did beat Bradford last month but that was at the JJB. This time we play them away and although we had that marvellous night at Odsal last September - we do have to remember we got away with that one and were frankly abysmal. That was a game Bradford lost rather than us winning!

Before that you have to go back to June 2003 for a deserved victory at Odsal when Nick Graham scored twice and Adrian Lam kicked three drop goals in a 35-22 win. It's been a long time.

I still believe though this current Bradford side is not as formidable as they once were. I think they struggle more so on the road though to be fair. At Odsal only St Helens have come away with two points this year.

They'll look at this a bit like us - a big opportunity. They also fell well, well short in their Easter derby and they'll looked at their next four games as a chance to define their our season. They play us, Leeds twice and Castleford at home. Cas will be a gimme but the others are big games for them and it highlights what a big result it would be for either side. Bradford are on of the teams just behind us and defeat to Wigan here and they won't fancy playing Leeds twice in three matches.

The key for Wigan is to get ahead early. I don't feel that Bradford particularly like to chase games. They want to get ahead early and control it. Wigan can chase games but they can't afford to give themselves to much to do - as they did last season when they trailed 30-6 and 30-10 in the two matches at Odsal. They did get away with one of course but the Bulls won't make that mistake twice!

Should be a cracker. Two sides in identical form and it'll be nice to go to Odsal at 3pm on a Sunday! Just hope the weather is good.
