Summary:l

Wigan pretty much secured their play off spot with this Good Friday victory over Saints at Central Park. Mathematically they still needed a point from their remaining two matches but defeats for Barrow at Salford and Warrington at Widnes meant a big point scoring difference swing against Wigan was required by both clubs also. Saints actually held a three point lead at the break but missed conversions played a big part in them not keeping tabs on the Wigan scoring at the other end. Wigan also had the sun in their eyes first half and played much better when that advantage turned around. 15,000 attended.
