Second place in the table Hunslet beat Wigan for the second time this season. They had built up an 8-0 lead by half time but it was only "near the end" that Jim Sullivan kicked two penalty goals to bring the lead down to a one score lead. It was the right idea but Wigan couldn't find a try to win the match.
