Summary:l

Eight of Wigan's last ten matches had been at Central Park, all of which had been won, but the two away trips at Widnes and Broughton had resulted in defeats. So Wigan needed to put that record right to avoid falling down the league table like they had done after Christmas in the previous season. They beat Halifax early in this game though with tries from Tommy Howley, Attie van Heerden and Johnny Ring had all scored tries before half time.
