Summary:l

Swinton had a strong wind advantage in the first half and had started the better but they could only get a 2-0 penalty goal lead for their efforts. Wigan responded with a try from Johnny Ring following a George Owens interception which after the conversion put Wigan 5-2 ahead at half time. Wigan dominated the second half now the wind advantage was with them and a try from George van Rooyen made the game safe.
