Summary:l

1st v 4th in the table at kick off and a key battle towards the "Lancashire League" trophy. "Wigan were unlucky to lose" with them being described as "the superior side". They led 2-0 at half time from a Jim Sullivan penalty goal. Then Wigan lost Jack Price to injury and being a man down saw their performance unravel. A scrambled try from Finnerty nicked the win for Oldham late on. The only consolation for Wigan was 2nd Place Hull had lost at Rochdale.
