Summary:l

A match "full of thrilling incidents" and an "exciting finish". Wigan had started quickly with a 10-0 lead established in as many minutes. That lead held until half time, however by the hour mark the home side had levelled up at 10 all. But Tom Coles scored the game clinching try that Wigan held onto despite Jim Sullivan not converting.
