Summary:

Delayed from the weekend due to the Challenge Cup Semi Final, Wigan travelled to Hull KR knowing they were still top of the table with two games in hand. They wanted to hammer home their advantage though and did so in solid but unspectacular fashion here at Craven Park. The sides exchanged penalty goals for a 2-2 score after 12 minutes and that score held all the way past half time until the 64th Minute. It was then that the deadlock broke with Andy Gregory and Denis Betts combining to get Sam Panapa under the posts with Frano Botica converting for 8-2. On 70 minutes, Joe Lydon made it 9-2 with a drop goal and then Gene Miles try in the left corner was converted by Frano for 15-2. He would then add a penalty goal from almost half way near the end to complete the victory.
