Summary:

This was Wigan's last game before the World Club Challenge against Penrith and they had few dramas in seeing off Leigh in the Lancashire Cup at Central Park. Tries from David Myers, Ian Gildart, Frano Botica and Shaun Edwards had Wigan already up 26-2 by half time and it was put fully to bed a minute after the restart when Denis Betts scored. Further tries came from Edwards again and Andy Platt with Leigh's two tries being late consolations.
