Summary:l

Wigan took the lead after just 8 minutes when a half break from Andy Goodway was finished by Kevin Iro for 6-0. Goodway later repeated the move but this time he didn't need to pass to Iro and went himself for 12-0. Then right on half time good work from Andy Gregory saw good support from Shaun Wane to finish under the sticks for 18-0. All looked great for easy progression but Wigan wobbled after the interval with Castleford fighting back. Tries from Bob Lindner and John Fafita brought Cas back to 18-10 by the 51st Minute but Lindner ended up being sin binned for taking out Gregory and that halted their charge. Stephenson kicked a penalty for 20-10 and soon after Shaun Edwards finished under the posts for 26-10 and although Cas found another try through David Plange, that sin bin ultimately proved very costly too them.
