Summary:

Wigan had been due to play Oldham away on this particular Sunday but with them playing a Challenge Cup Semi Final instead, they were able to re-arrange this match against relegation battling Swinton that was played at Burnden Park in Bolton rather than Station Road. It wasn't a big score but still a comfortable victory for Wigan that took them up to second in the table behind Halifax and in a great position of having three games in hand to make up the three point gap.
