Notes:l From this match onward Wigan had to cope without Martin Ryan, Gordon Ratcliffe, Ernie Ashcroft, Jack Cunliffe, Jack Hilton, Tommy Bradshaw,
Ken Gee and Joe Egan for the rest of the season. They were to depart on 20th April 1950 for the long Great Britain summer tour to Australia and
New Zealand. In those days, travelling was done by boat and the season was never shortened to accommodate the tourists.

Brian Nordgren also set a new Wigan record for most tries in a season during this game when his 62nd try of the season saw him overtake Johnny
Ring's 61 in 1925-26.
