Stadium dispute rumbles on.

Today Wigan Warriors on the official website stated that "Wigan Warriors don't expect to be affected by the issue involving Greater Manchester Police and the JJB Stadium".

But Dave Whelan told Sky Sports News tonight that he "cannot see how" the Warriors can play at the JJB if the safety certificate for the ground is removed.

Wigan dug deep to come from 20-12 down to beat Widnes 32-20 at the Halton Stadium this afternoon but it wasn't pretty.

Under 21s: Hull FC 38 Wigan 16

Adrian Lam's Under 21s side lost their second grading phase match against Hull away this afternoon. Having beaten Featherstone away 44-0 on Monday a win here would have pretty much sealed top division academy rugby for the season.

The 21s play their third of four grading phase matches at home to Castleford at Orrell on Sunday 13th March (2pm).
JJB Stadium set for Lock Out?

Greater Manchester Police are set to close the JJB Stadium on Monday as the row over policing costs for Wigan Athletic matches reaches breaking point.

How and if this affects rugby matches I'm not too sure but it may do.

Joel Tomkins could be given a debut after he was named in the 20 man squad for Sundays trip to Widnes. He replaces Dave Allen.

Gareth Hock is also out, replaced by Paul Prescott. Back in the squad is Liam Colbon who impressed against Wakefield

Due to unprecedented demand for tickets, Wigan Warriors have today announced that the SOUTH STAND at the JJB Stadium has been made ALL TICKET for the next three home games against Leigh Centurions, St Helens and Leeds Rhinos.
Only 7 fit to train.

Only seven players were able to train on Tuesday, with coach Denis Betts fearing that up to eight of his regular first-teamers will miss the match at Widnes on Sunday.
