Couldn't go today, so only hearing a second hand info, but Wigan
raced away into a 30-0 lead in as many minutes before London
Skolars finally began to play.
Skolars got a try back early second half and then scored the
first try after the break to make it 30-10. Thoughts of a comeback
were on the mind, especially considering Skolars had 25 players to
call upon, compared to just 19 for Wigan.
At one point Wigan survived four consecutive
sets of defence but in the end, Wigan ground out two tries in the
final quarter to seal a pretty convincing 42-10 win.
Prop Dom Crosby on Twitter sums up the game by saying
"Decent win for our first hit out together but gutted they got that
many points! Season can't come soon enough...". Well it
begins at Bradford in three weekends time when they curtain raise
the first team match, Kick Off 12:45pm. |
