Summary:l
Wigan welcomed back Jim Leytham, who had missed
the last three matches injured, whilst new signing Lew Bradley made his
debut on the right wing. Bradley would go on to make 124 appearances for
Wigan, the last of which was during the First World War in February 1918.
Four months later he perished in the War Effort, just five months before the
war ended. He was the only Wigan player to lose his life during the war
effort. In the match Wigan had to come from behind at half time to win but
Bradley claimed a try on his debut to help Wigan stay top with this
fortunate victory that was sealed with a late penalty goal from Jim
Sharrock.
