Summary:l

This re-arranged game was played in front of 3,000 fans at Chorley Road. It was tight early but Trevor Thomas' try just before half time put Wigan into a 5-0 lead. Wigan pushed on to win easily after the break with Swinton's try being a consolation near the end.
