Summary:l
It was not often in Wigan Highfield's short period in the
league that they could take the limelight away from Wigan, but on this day
perhaps they did. Even though Wigan were playing a 1st v 2nd League match
against Warrington, Highfield were playing a Challenge Cup Semi Final
against Oldham at Salford. Highfield sadly lost but Wigan managed to spank
Warrington, who hadn't lost at Wilderspool before this day all season. Wigan
were 16-0 up at half time and they never stepped off the accelerator all
game. An excellent performance.
