You might have thought this 1st v 2nd clash at Central Park was the biggest game of the week, but you'd be wrong! The biggest game of the week had taken place at Central Park three days earlier on the Wednesday. It was the big "Whites" v "Reds" clash which saw the "Whites" triumph 38-18. 15,000 turned up for the match. That was actually a test trial for the upcoming 1924 Great Britain tour to Australia and New Zealand. In this 1st v 2nd clash v Huddersfield, Wigan maintained their 100% home record for the season with a comfortable win. Tommy Howley had scored twice before half time and Wigan pushed on after the break.
